Testul HBsAg este utilizat pentru determinarea calitativă a Antigenul de suprafață al hepatitei B (HBsAg) în ser uman, plasmă sau sânge uman. Acest test este destinat screening-ului sângelui și produselor sanguine care urmează să fie utilizate pentru transfuzii și un ajutor pentru diagnosticarea infecției cu hepatită B existentă sau anterioară.
