Metoprololul este un medicament care apartine grupei farmacoterapeutice: medicamente betablocante; betablocante selective. Este recomandat ca tratament in:
- hipertensiune arteriala;
- infarct miocardic acut
- profilaxia crizelor de angina de efort;
- tratamentul de lunga durata dupa infarct miocardic;
- manifestari functionale cardiace: eretism cardiac;
- profilaxia migrenei;
- ca adjuvant in terapia hipertiroidismului.
