PRINCIPIUL METODEI:
Testul Rapid Plasma Reaginic sau RPR este un test non-treponemal pentru detectia serologica a sifilisului. Antigenul, o suspensie de particule de carbon acoperite cu complexe lipidice aglutineaza in prezenta reaginelor din serul uman. Reaginele sunt anticorpii prezenti in serul pacientilor cu sifilis. Aglutinarea vizibila macroscopic indica prezenta acestui tip de anticorpi in proba testata.
