The median base salary for preot in public hospitals is 8,036 lei gross per month, calculated from 18 positions in 15 hospitals (each hospital's most recent list (2020-09-30 – 2026-03-31)). The lowest found is 2,965 lei, the maximum 11,272 lei. Bonuses, on-call shifts and allowances are not included.
The highest median base salary is at Spitalul Judetean De Urgenta Bistrita (Bistriţa-Năsăud): 10,636 lei. The lowest is at Spitalul De Ortopedie Si Traumatologie Azuga (Prahova): 2,965 lei. The differences come mostly from seniority step, professional grade and job classification.
From the salary transparency lists every public hospital must publish on its website on 31 March and 30 September (art. 33 of Law 153/2017). The lists contain no personal names.
